We purchased a sofa & recliner in December, 2015 with an extended 5-year VIP warranty which made all kinds of promises. in December, 2017 we started to notice cracking and peeling on both pieces of furniture and called to file a claim.
They sent an inspector who took photos. The next day we received an email rejecting the claim in its entirety saying it was "normal wear & tear" and it could not be repaired and was not covered in the warranty. After months of back & forth, they have refused any resolution; no exchange, no honoring of the so-called warranty and now they won't even give me the information about the manufacturer claiming; "Unfortunately we do not provide manufacturing companies telephone numbers, we are only able to advise of the company name." Funny thing is, there is NO information to be found for this "manufacturer" they claim (Prime Resources). At this point, the material on the furniture is peeling so badly that you can see all the way through to the fabric underneath.
The material peels and flakes off and into clothing, hair, carpet, etc. And that says nothing about how it looks - AWFUL.
We have had to resort to covering both pieces with blankets. It's disgusting and ridiculous.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
