Living Spaces - Customer Care Review from Los Angeles, California

I've never had worse service. I bought a bed frame that costed almost $500 after tax and picked it up the next day. First problem was it came in a box that was broken open on both ends. The guys at Customer Pick-up had the worst customer service. They also assured me that ALL the pieces were there and undamaged. I get home to find out that the slats were missing! It took 3 phone calls to customer service just for them to agree to send another order of slats to the store for me to pick up. I still had to wait another day for it to arrive. The next day I go back to the store to pick up the slats and they make we wait a while just for them to tell me they couldn't find my order!! OMG!! And this time the service at Customer Pick-up was even worse. They are rude, uncaring and to be very blunt, they don't seem to really give a ***! When they finally found the box that was sitting in front of them the entire time they tell me that I can't simply exchange the boxes. They wanted to open the brand new box and take the slats out so that they can keep the rest of the parts. Whatever!!! I just wanted to get out of there at this point! Fastforward three and a half hours after trying to put the bed together it turns out to be the worst quality I've seen. The screw do not tighten and the slats are not fully attached to the bed frame. Needless to say I had to return the *** bed. When I called to talk to the store manager, Maris, about my experience they had no problems taking the return without charging me any fees (this was the only upside to this story). She never personally come to the register area and take care of the situation though which left us wondering if she really didn't care just like her staff. While doing the the return at the store the cashier mentioned that half is my purchase was already refunded. ???? Fine. So she did a refund for "the other half". It's been over ten days now and I have yet to receive all of my money back. I only have a refund for half of what I paid. And when I called two days ago, Brianda (customer service), said she would look into it and email accounting and "someone would call me back". I have yet to hear from them or get my full refund. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE!

Living Spaces - Manager Review

We purchased some furniture on Labor Day and scheduled delivery for today. They took it upon themselves to reschedule for tomorrow without consulting with us. My husband had taken the day off today for nothing.He called to speak with a manager and they did nnothing for us. This was at the Living Spaces in Panorama City. Hopefully they will deliver tomorrow or maybe theyll reschedule without telling us. Very poor service. ?

Living Spaces in Monrovia, California - Sales staff could make more of an effort

I have been satisfied with the few pieces I purchased from the Monrovia, CA store, but the staff, while friendly, needs to make more of an effort. I went in recently ready to buy a desk advertised online. The store didn't have it on display, which is understandable, but when I said that I would want to see it before buying it, the salesman replied, Well, I don't know what to tell you." There were apparently 20 sitting in the warehouse - seems like there should be a more aggressive sales policy to get the merchandise to the store for a customer who is clearly ready to buy. I ended up buying a less expensive desk from Office Max (free shipping!), but I would have forked over the $375 at Living Spaces for sure if the staff had cared more about selling me their product. They do have nice furniture at good prices, but this was a really annoying experience.

Living Spaces in Rancho Cucamonga, California - Very poor quality, but expensive sofa

Living Spaces absolutely will not deal with any problem. I purchased a $1,600 Flexsteel sofa. I purposely sought out Flexsteel - but apparently they make junk now for Living Spaces. It is very poor quality. They finally sent someone out to look at it - after 3 failed attempts - twice they did not show up at the correct time (4 hours early) and once they did not show up at all. Then, they wanted to repair the sofa. How do you "repair" a 4 week old sofa? They wanted to stuff it with more stuffing, so it is barely useable. Really? Would anyone call that an acceptable resolution? Going to small claims court - no choice.

Living Spaces in Phoenix, Arizona - Once again horrible experience

Once again yet another failed attempt at living spaces. I was in the location in phoenix to pick up my coffee table and purchase a painting. From the second I walked in the door and not being greeted by the sales manager Xan. Once I walked up to her and asked if the table we order could be pulled so that we could pick up her response was if you scheduled it to picked up it will be ready. I had explain to Xan that I purchased the table online and never scheduled a pick up date. She finally called and had everything set up for me to get it. In the meantime we walked around the store and purchased a $200 painting which when I walked the cashier I had to wait while once again everyone was to busy to help me. The gentlemen who walked in the back were great and got everything loaded. Got my product home after inspecting to make sure nothing looked damaged and go figure it is missing 4 screws. So I called in knowing I wasn't going to get help in hopes they had worked on their customer service since the last time I had to deal with them. Well to my shock they haven't. The customer service agent told me I could buy the screws else where or wait 2 to 6 weeks for the screws from the manufactor. She said that they could pull one for me to pick up and when I asked for them to deliver it for free because of the issues I have been going through with this company her response was we can't do that. I asked to speak with a manager and she placed me on hold came back and said there is no manager avalible and that one would call me back in 24 hours. Once I get this product I will never purchase from this company ever again. So your time and shop else where you can actually find their products else where. I would rather pay a little more money and deal with this *** company. Because of your *** customer service you lost out on $1000 worth of sales. I will keep updating with the *** service I receive in this sale.

In Feb 2014, we purchased a sectional from Living Spaces. We like the sectional, but a one of the pieces (sections) came damaged- actually the section that came damaged wasn't the correct piece anyway. We ordered a recliner section, not an armless chair section. It took them 4 weeks for someone to come out and evaluate the damage, then another 2 or 3 weeks for a repair person to (repair) it. I didn't want it repaired. I wanted the recliner section we originally ordered. I have the receipt to prove it. Now it's the end of July 2014, and still no resolution. In fact, I can't even get customer service on the phone- it answers, but then silence. Good grief.

Living Spaces in Irvine, California - Diamond mattress foundation squeaks after only 6 months

We bought our Cal King Diamond mattress and foundation only six months ago. It already sags where we sleep so if one of us wants to sleep in the middle, we roll to the side. The main problem, however, is that the foundation squeaks when we sit down on the bed. Same as last person, they want 99 to come out and inspect it. And then what? They will probably say we are sitting down on it incorrectly or that the problem is we are trying to sleep on it. I am so disgusted with Living Spaces and Diamond Mattress for not standing by their merchandise. The customer service rep kept repeating that it was in the sales receipt that we signed - oh yeah, we had time to read the micro-print while 10 people were behind us in line! I feel like they have us over a barrel and that they are laughing all the way to the bank.

I also bought a Diamond mattress from Living Spaces and not even 4 months later it sags on sides and you can't lay in the middle of the bed.. I was not about to pay the $75.00 for them to come out so I called Diamond Mattresses direct and went through them and they sent a guy out for free and then a week after that received our new mattress and it's been about 3 months and the same problem is happening again,,, these mattress are terrible...

I totally agree that the Diamond mattress and foundation is junk. The mattress caved in and the foundation started squeaking after about 8 months.

Shortly after that the foundation just cracked in half.

I took the fabric off the bottom to inspect and found they used pine wood 1x2s spaced 10" apart. I am waiting to see if they will replace only the mattress without charging me since I don't want another cheap foundation.
