Warranty is ***!!!

So I purchased a sofa for over $1000 2 years ago. I purchased the so-called "Premium Warranty." About 1 year later, the power module to the powered recliner stopped working.

I called the warranty company that sent a repair person out. He basically looked at the sofa and determined that I needed a new power adapter which is covered. Well, I never received the adapter. So, since January 2015, I have been in that store over 8 times.

I have spoken to countless reps over the phone. Still no luck! Just keep getting the run around. I have been very patient with them and waiting every time they put in another request for a new part.

They tell me that it will be in in 3-6 weeks. I have waited 3-6 weeks 5 times now. Still, not even a phone call to say, "hey you dumb ***, just keep that raggedy *** couch and shut the *** up!" This place is a total rip off when it comes to trying to fulfill a warranty claim. On top of that, this warranty states that they would replace the furniture if it cannot be repaired!

Every time I mention this to them, they buy more *** time by promising to order the part yet again!

My next step is to sue in small claims. Anyone have any tips on how to go about this?

Yeah I am having the same problem over the past 4 months. I have decided to take them to small claims court and sue for the price of my recliner and the worthless warranties (also including all filing fees, and mileage to and from the store to get the issue resolved).

Good Luck the only thing that will get you resolution is through the courts. They count on you to get tired of complaining and just buy a new piece of furniture.

I love Living Spaces....everything in my house came from LS....reps are courteous and professionals.....good quality im satisfied...but i have observed 1thing ....most dining room chairs screw in ....u have to keep tightening chair screws .... other than that LS is the Best......priced to sell....love u LS....God bless ....

Bought some furniture from living spaces, set it up for delivery, they gave me a window of 3pm to 6pm and tracking over internet. So after waiting and waiting I went to thetracking app and saw thst I was the last person on the list. It is 5:20pm and there are 3 more delivierys ahead of me, not good. 6: pm came and gone no call from living spaces. I called them they told me i was next just give them a little more time. 7:45 I called again and told them the deal is off cancel every thing I dont want the furniture. 5 minutes to 8 I got a call from the delivery service asking if they can still deliver. I told them that they shold have called at 5 when they knew they were running behind and that they can eat the furniture. I got a call from living spaces saying that they will call back the next day and resolve the problem. Next day no call no Email nothing so at 4:45 I cslled them and told them to close my account and I better not see any fees on it.

Agree that there is NO customer service, will not buy here again. $2,000 couch delivered broken. Piece was either dropped or something dropped on it. Delivery guys covered up but couch end began falling off. Since this was discovered 7 days after delivery, it's now our fault. LS Tech inspected couch today. Know they will want to "repair" instead of replace. Didn't purchase at Clearance price and have no interest in owning repaired furniture. Credit at store to select NEW would be customer service.

Poor Customer service

If you expect customer service from this place you will be disappointed. So my gf and I decided to use our tax returns this year to purchase a bed set. We got the frame from them and our mattress from Amazon. Several months later the bedframe is infested with bed bugs and makes it essentially useless. The mattress itself is in a sealed cover and has no signs of bugs once removed from the frame. And we were told by the exterminators they were probably brought in by the bed frame. There is no box spring/foundation as this frame came with wooden slats. I tried to give customer service a chance an follow up with them directly. Their response was this "Bed bugs would actually reside inside of the mattress or foundation (( box springs) Not within your wooden bed headboard or footboard." We were initially very impressed with this store and their products but after this experience we will no longer be shopping here.

Couch - poor quality and customer service

Bought couch and delivered with damaged leg and staples loose where material is stapled. Contacted living spaces and told me to send pictures and they arranged to have someone come to home. Living spaces said technician would call within 10-30 minutes of arrival so I still could go to work as I live close by. No call and missed technician twice!! So technician came on weekend and fixed staples and ordered leg. Told me leg would come in 3-4 days . Well days passed and called living spaces and they said it would take 8 weeks. So received leg last week- damaged and wrong color. I was told by customer service that they would replace the chaise for all the trouble. Living spaces arrives with chaise but legs are wrong color and do not match the rest of the sectional. Call living spaces again and tell me they will order new leg and I asked them how are you going to make sure right color so the man said he would order 4. I said you need to order 12 because all the legs need to match on the sectional . He was so rude. I asked to speak to a manger back in May and was told a ticket had to be made for this and will get call within 24 hours never did. Asked to speak to manager again this time in July and told a ticket has to be made and will get a call within 24 hours- well 5 days later and no call. Called today to follow-up with manger and told ticket still open and they will respond to it in the order it was received. Ok - red flag - 5 days later and no response. Must be a lot of complaints before me! This has been going on since April and now July just to get something very simple fixed. I will never do business with them again or will any of my family members. This is such a little thing. Wonder how they handle even bigger issues. Very concerning that a business disregards their customers like this and do not back their products - especially with something that could be fixed quickly. Letting something so minor build a reputation for a company and result in loss of customers - tells you good customer service does not exist anymore ! Sad!

I bought a full set of living room couches from living spaces and they have been wearing way to fast! I called living spaces and have been given the ring around for the past 2 months. I had a extremely hard time to get ahold of a manager by being told I will have one call me after a ticket was made and they patch me to a voice mail. This company has the worst customer service I have felt with for such a large corporation. They have hung up on me and I am extremely urging you to never purchase from them. Never!!

Complaint to Living Spaces

I purchased a sofa and 5 year insurance policy from Living Spaces in Rancho Cucamonga. Not long after purchase some stitching came loose. I called the insurance company, sent a picture of the sofa problem along with a copy of the sales slip and after three calls was turned down. My daughter, who has purchased many items of furniture from Living Spaces has now warned me to NEVER purchased the insurance policy....it's a JOKE. No matter what I do, I went to the store and got no results, I'm told to go to someone else and he/she will take care of it. I sent a letter to the manager (whomever that may be) and received no answers. Am I supposed to keep the sofa with the ugly stitching loose for all company to see and tell them where it was purchased? DUH! I'm ready to get some guys to help me carry it back to the store in Rancho.

Same thing happened to us. All these promises about "oh we are sorry.

When can we have a tech come out and fix it" never happens. No follow up. Nothing.

I have same problems on my loveseat and couch. Both of them have peeling leather. I say we should go for class action lawsuit against living spaces.

I initially had my payments debited from my account, but last month I didn't have enough money in my account. Now, I'm trying to make a payment and all I get is a recording. Not only am I having trouble paying, the furniture I purchase has feathers coming out of the cushions. I called the (888) 672-**** and spoke to Kim Harrison who was suppose to have someone to call me set up and appointment to come out and look at the couch...no one called. Placed $3000 over on Friday July 10,2015 to be delivered Sunday the 12,2015. Delivered only the right side of my couch, and extra right side, no left side. Called store to redeliver left side Sunday night and again it was the right side. Had to send people home from my sons bay party to go to store before it closed. Husband had knee surgery Monday and needed the recliner. Promised delivery on Tuesday, again the wrong side. Went back to store again, after 3 wrong attempts and was promised correct side that night, and a window time of 8-12 midnight, really? All along, no apologies, no calls from managers no compensation. I had to ask for compensation and got free delivery. Delivered again Wednesday night and again wrong side. Four times now! FOUR! Went down again and am still waiting for correct side of couch. No one wants to take responsibility, blames it on 3rd party which by the way states Living Spaces in their shirt. How much inconvenience is a person supposed to put up with? Spoke with AJ the sales manager, Tammy the Operations supervisor and Mike the Operation Manager, all who could care less about my problem. No communication from a store manager either. I had to demand a manager call me. And then on top of that, they had to refund re ring my couch and put it on less time finance period since by now their promotion had ended, like that was my fault! Horrible customer service at that store, lots o empty promises and no commitment to satisfy the customer. Shame on them! Oh they did offer me a $100 gift card but why do I want anything else from their store? And if you return it all they charge you a 10% restock fee. Well when I get my credit card in the mail it will be immediately cut up and sent to them. They can have it.

Terrible Shipping and Scheduling

They advertise same day shipping, but that does not apply to custom made and you are not informed of this. I realize that it would take the 3-4 weeks to have it finished and then need to schedule a delivery, but when I called to schedule it too me 23 min to get in to speak to someone and then they would not deliver custom items on a Saturday or Sunday, but they will deliver same day if you order something already in the store (not custom). So, then they give you a 6 hour window...people have to work! That is crazy.

We purchased a Cullen Sleigh Bed just over a year ago. It is listed as a hardwood product with some veneer. 1 year and 6 months after purchase the side rail split, and on closer inspection I noted that the side board is not hardwood. Instead it is a composite material that has turned into a powder. While I understand that the Warranty has expired, the product is clearly not as advertised "hardwood" with veneer. They have let me know that they do not sell parts as this is a "set" and that it is not under warranty. Sadly we did like the bed and will do what we can, but Living Spaces customer service has been terrible. Attempting to get answers required several calls and I have yet to have a manager contact me. The answers I managed to get were from call centers who started off saying they would request a part quote and call me back. 24 hours and 2 calls from me to them later I was informed that these were "set" items and parts cannot be sold.

I just went through the exact same experience with Living Spaces's customer service. Same bed, same problem, same rotten customer service.

The first call they were compliant said they would replace or repair and told me someone would email me within 48 hours.

When I followed up because they didn't follow through, they told me they don't have record of the call and that they couldn't do anything about it.

They're customer service is as *** as their furniture.

They'll be the next to close they're doors. Good Riddens!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CROOKED OUTFIT !!!!! THEY DIDN"T DELIVER THE FURNITURE..FOUR TIMES..CHARGED ME 420 dollars to cancel the order!!!!

Saturday May 9th bought a 7 piece sectional and two leather couches. $4200.. Sooo happy! They told me it would be delivered on Sunday, May 10th ..Mother's Day..I told them to come in a small truck. They came in a semi truck..couldn't deliver!!! They said later that Sunday..NO..the guy didn't get back in time. Then they made appointment for Wednesday morning, my 80 year old dad waited 3 hours..They showed up in a semi again... Then they said they would come at night on Wednesday.. They cancelled again..I am every one of these days canceling things I need to do..Then today Thursday ..They said we can deliver between 8 pm and 12 am. in the rain .. I said forget it and cancel my order...at 1pm in the afternoon..so tonight May 14th..I get a call at 7;50 pm I get a call they will be here to drop off the order the order I had cancelled.. I spent 20 minutes telling the guy how disrespectfully I had been treated and then they tell me they will charge me 420 dollars restocking fee!!!! I told the guy I didn't want it delivered at all. They still loaded it and were bringing it in the rain!!!! I am a fifth grade teacher and I have been scammed.. Do NOT purchase ANYTHING from this company!!!!! After reading the other comments here I was afraid to have it delivered..They have in the past NOT backed up their products.....Their salespeople are nice..it is just a crooky outfit..

NO STAR!!!!! Sales person very nice , however, very dissatisfied with their customer service. We had issues during the delivery process, drivers never came to the front door until we went outside and saw the delivery truck parked in the street. Then upon entering our home, on the 2nd floor, claimed they had been waiting outside for over 20 min, and further claimed, they were running behind on their route and no longer had time to install the items they were to delivery. No agreement could be reach with the driver. Upon calling the customer service department, we revived the same run around regarding time and scheduling, falling back on fine print in the contract. Main point is "No one came to the door", I had to look for the truck in the middle of the street to find them. As no resolution could be reached, we cancelled the order, at which point we were informed we needed to pay a 10% restocking fee on over $2,000.00 , again citing the fine print. Free money for them for nothing. Be very wary before making a purchase. Read everything in the policy before buying as there are many loopholes they can fall back on. We are very, very, disappointed. Living spaces has the worst customer service we've ever encountered.

I got my couch delivered with the wrong pillows and the legs with different colors called customer service and they transferred me 5 times , I decide to go to the store , they gave me the legs at my request and I will be waiting 4 weeks for the new pillows. But I hate the fabric of my sofa it's all stiff and cheap looking I don't know if I should returned the whole thing or what
